The Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Association (MLEOA) is currently hosting its summer training conference in D’Iberville, Mississippi. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the conference, with a record turnout of over 140 officers from various agencies across Mississippi and neighboring states.

The primary goal of the MLEOA is to provide high-quality training to law enforcement departments across the state, often at little to no cost. Chief Richard Chandler of the Senatobia Police Department emphasized the importance of ongoing training to enhance officers’ skills and safety.

The conference offers a diverse range of training sessions and certifications, covering disciplines such as Police K-9, Police Motors Rodeo, Police Firearms, Crisis Intervention, and Human Trafficking. Specialized K-9 training includes detection of explosives like RDX, C4, and ammonia nitrate.
