SIOUX CITY – Corrective work continues on the new Woodbury County Law Enforcement Centre. Work was originally scheduled to be completed in September, but a fire damper system wasn’t included in the original plans, causing a seven-month delay.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Law Enforcement Centre Authority met to discuss the progress of this work. Work is continuing on the district attorney’s office, the sheriff’s office, the courtroom and the medical observation room.
The facility’s fire alarm systems will be tested in the coming weeks. And the architects praised the LEC Authority, saying they “didn’t compromise on workmanship or budget due to rising costs to complete the project”.
Members of the LEC Authority will visit the site for a tour on Wednesday.
