The Region 8 Employment Expo provided a platform for job seekers and employers alike to connect, as community members gathered at the Embassy Suites Red Wolf Convention Center in pursuit of employment opportunities.
On Thursday, May 9, several employers representing organizations from across Northeast Arkansas convened at the convention center to engage with local job seekers. The expo, spanning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and later from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., facilitated networking and exploration of potential career paths.
Tracy Privett, a resident of Jonesboro and a mother, attended the expo with the aim of identifying job openings for both herself and her son. Privett emphasized the significance of such professional events, underscoring their inclusive nature catering to job seekers of all demographics.
“For anyone in Jonesboro, it’s always beneficial to explore available job opportunities,” Privett remarked. “The scope of opportunities here is diverse and inclusive.”
Employers showcased their businesses through booths adorned with merchandise and provided job applications for interested candidates. Attendees arrived armed with resumes, presenting them to employers for review and potential consideration.
