Jewers and Conor Falvey, employees at the Schulich School of Law, have been recognized with the 2024 Dalhousie Professional and Managerial Group (DPMG) Outstanding Achievement Awards. The accolades were announced during the annual DPMG conference on June 4, 2024, marking the first time that eligible law school staff members have received this prestigious recognition.
Tiffany Coolen-Jewers, serving as the faculty’s manager of finance and administration, was presented with the 2024 DPMG Award for Outstanding Achievement: Long Service Award. Nominated by her supervisor Joanne Tortola, director of finance and administration, Coolen-Jewers was commended for her exceptional dedication and performance spanning over 32 years in various administrative and leadership roles. Her contributions were lauded not only for their professionalism but also for her genuine care and compassion towards the law school community.
Conor Falvey, the faculty of law’s research facilitator, was honored with the 2024 DPMG Award for Outstanding Achievement: Career Award. Recognized by her supervisor Jamie Baxter, associate dean of research, Falvey was celebrated for her significant contributions to advancing the Schulich School of Law’s Strategic Direction, 2017-2021 initiative. In addition to her outstanding performance in grant acquisition and enhancing the school’s research profile, Falvey was praised for her innovative approach and leadership in fostering a collaborative research environment.
Both Coolen-Jewers and Falvey have left an indelible mark on the Schulich School of Law, embodying the institution’s values of excellence and dedication.
