LA Kings Sign Forward Andre Lee to a One-Year Contract

The LA Kings have signed forward Andre Lee to a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000 for the 2024-25 season. Lee, 23, has recently completed his second full season with the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. During the season, he recorded eight goals and five assists, totaling 13 points in 36 games, and added four goals in eight Calder Cup Playoff contests, marking the second-highest on the team.

Lee, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound forward, has played 105 games with the Ontario Reign over three seasons, accumulating 14 goals and 10 assists for a total of 24 points. He was selected in the seventh round (188th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Before his professional career, Lee played three seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he appeared in 87 games and posted 64 points with a plus-26 rating. His best collegiate season was his junior year (2021-22), setting career highs in games played (34), goals (16), points (28), and plus/minus (+12), helping the River Hawks reach the NCAA Tournament and earning a spot on the Hockey East Third All-Star Team.

Lee, a native of Karlstad, Sweden, also played one season with the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL, where he recorded 35 points and won the Clark Cup.
