Urgent Search Underway for Endangered Sumter Woman

Law enforcement officials are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 72-year-old woman, Barbara Muldrow, who is believed to be in danger.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Sumter Police Department have issued an alert for Muldrow, who resides on Thomas Drive in Sumter. She was last seen in Charleston County this afternoon while en route to a relative’s home in Sumter but never arrived, according to authorities.

Muldrow was specifically last seen at 7:07 PM on U.S. Highway 17 at Chandler Road in Mount Pleasant. She was driving a 2007 Black Ford F-150 with a silver toolbox, bearing South Carolina license plate KZF216.

Muldrow is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue capri pants. The Sumter Police Department noted that she suffers from dementia, which heightens concerns for her safety.

Anyone with information on Muldrow’s whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.
