Former President Donald Trump arrived in Milwaukee on Sunday evening for the Republican National Convention, following a shooting incident at his Pennsylvania rally. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden urged Americans to “cool it down” and resolve their differences through voting.
Despite a full day passing since the shooting, the gunman’s motive remains unclear. Investigators believe the shooter acted alone before being fatally shot by Secret Service agents.
President Biden has ordered an independent security review of the attack, which resulted in the death of a bystander, critically injured two others, and raised concerns about security measures. The FBI is investigating the incident as a potential act of domestic terrorism.
Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, sustained a minor injury, with a bullet piercing the upper part of his right ear. His aides reported that he was in “great spirits” and doing well.
In a post on his social media platform, Trump stated: “In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand united, and show our true character as Americans, remaining strong and determined, and not allowing evil to win.”
