The ongoing legal saga surrounding Kanye West, now known as Ye, has taken another dark turn with allegations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. She claims that during a studio session co-hosted by hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, West drugged and sexually assaulted her.
Pisciotta, who worked for West between 2021 and 2022, has filed an amended complaint, obtained by PEOPLE, in which she accuses the rapper of “sexual battery.” The lawsuit alleges that West served her a drink laced with a substance that rendered her incapacitated, leading to the alleged assault. Notably, the complaint does not implicate Diddy in the incident, and no accusations have been made against him regarding this specific event.
A representative for West has yet to respond to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment on the matter.
This lawsuit is part of an ongoing legal battle that began with Pisciotta’s earlier wrongful termination suit against West. In that case, she claimed that she had been subjected to inappropriate texts, explicit photos, videos, and phone calls before being fired from her position. West’s legal team has described this prior claim as “baseless,” alleging that Pisciotta pursued him for sexual favors in exchange for employment and material benefits and subsequently engaged in extortion when her advances were rejected.
The case adds to a growing list of legal issues for Ye, who earlier this year faced a lawsuit from a former employee of his Donda Academy and Yeezy fashion brand. The plaintiff, Trevor Phillips, accused West of racist, homophobic, and antisemitic behavior, along with harassment. Phillips claimed that he had been sexually harassed, verbally abused, and humiliated by West and never received the termination or severance pay owed after the academy’s closure.
Meanwhile, Diddy himself remains embroiled in his own legal troubles. The 54-year-old music mogul is currently held in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He is also facing sexual assault claims from over 120 other individuals, all represented by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee.
Diddy’s lawyer, Erica Wolff, has firmly denied the allegations against him, stating that “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.” She further emphasized that he looks forward to clearing his name in court through the presentation of evidence, rather than relying on what she described as “speculation” from the media.
As these legal battles continue, both West and Diddy face mounting challenges that threaten to shape their public and professional futures.
