The company filed at least four complaints Monday, which allege that bank users deposited tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in fake checks into their Chase accounts and withdrew large sums before the checks bounced. The complaints filed in Los Angeles, Houston, and Miami federal court say the participants collectively owe the bank $660,000.

The lawsuits don’t mention the TikTok ATM “glitch” trend, but the withdrawals named in the lawsuits are from the period at the end of August when it was popular and used the method TikTok popularized.

“Fraud is a crime that impacts everyone and undermines trust in the banking system. Chase takes its responsibility to combat fraud seriously and prioritizes protecting the firm and its customers to make the banking system safer,” all four of the lawsuits said.
