Two Victorian fast food businesses are facing hundreds of charges over alleged breaches of child labor laws.
Red Rooster in Wodonga is facing 355 charges, while iconic ice cream chain Cold Rock in Shepparton faces 124 charges amid a crackdown by the state’s children’s employment watchdog.
The Victorian Wage Inspectorate said both businesses had breached the Children’s Employment Act on various occasions, including employing children for longer than they were allowed to work.
Individuals face fines of up to $20,000 per violation of the law.
